SHROPSHIRE INFECTION CONTROL GRANT FUND
Shropshire Council has provided Shropshire Rural Community Council with funding to set up a one-off grant fund in order to support small charities and community groups in Shropshire to continue to deliver services to people, particularly to vulnerable people, during the pandemic.
Funding is available to purchase personal protection equipment (PPE) to enable staff and volunteers to safely meet with people without transmission of coronavirus through the community.
How much can you apply for? Each organisation can apply for a maximum of £500 each.
Who is eligible? Any community organisation, charity, CIC’s or mutual aid groups operating in the ‘care sector’ in a broad sense, including those organisations working with vulnerable people (and people made vulnerable as a result of Covid-19) at a preventative level, can apply. Applicants do not have to be registered charities, but they must be a constituted group with a bank account. If your group is otherwise eligible but does not have a bank account, please contact the RCC for advice.
