Reporting a Pothole

Potholes on the highways are the responsibilty of Shropshire Council (unless they are on the main trunk roads – then they are the responsibility of Highways England). Potholes are to be reported directly to Shropshire Council via the following link:

Reporting a signage issue

Reporting Fly Tipping, Dog Fouling, Anti-Social Behaviour and Planning Issues

All these issues are Shropshire Council’s responsibility. The following link gives details of how to report these issues (and other similar issues) via the portal:

Reporting a Streetlight Issue

The majority of the streetlights in Whittington Parish belong to the Parish Council. To report an issue please email: clerk@whittingtonpc.com and provide the following details:

  • Where exactly the light is (giving as much detail as possible)
  • What the issue is with the light

Are are a few lights in the Parish that are the responsibility of Star Housing and Shropshire Council. When reporting a light, the Clerk will advise who owns the light and if it is not the Parish Council, we will pass on the details of the issue to the relevant organisation.

Reporting a Police Matter

Not sure if it is a police matter? Maybe it is an issue to be reported to Shropshire Council or the Parish Council.

Reporting an issue with Fitzwarine Play Area

The Play Area on Fitzwarine Drive is the property of the Parish Council. All issues relating to the Play Area, including issues with the equipment, should be reported to the Parish Clerk – clerk@whittingtonpc.com
