Shropshire Councils Community Tree Scheme 2017

Shropshire Council’s Community Tree Scheme

Shropshire Council’s Community Tree Scheme is up and running again this year. In addition to the transplant trees and hedging generously donated by Maelor Nursery, we are offering Parish and Town Councils and other owners of freely accessible land the opportunity to apply for a limited number (up to 5) of larger ‘feathered’ trees. These trees come in 10 litre containers and are usually some 2 – 2.5m tall, typically with side branches up the stem. However, they could be pruned as they grow to provide a clean-stemmed ‘standard’ tree, if that is what is needed.

An application form is attached for you to use for tree and hedging transplants and / or feathered trees as you wish. Please return your completed forms and maps to us as soon as you can – the scheme operates on a first come first served basis and will be closed once we have reached our allotted numbers of trees.
